Two weeks after graduating with honours from the Lebanese Academy of Fine Arts,
Marie-Claire Maalouf, being top of her class, was approached by Impact BBDO in UAE
in 2006 for an Art Director position. Her drive and contribution to growing the business and the teams made her a key player in the agency. She got promoted to associate creative director in 2011, Creative Director in 2019 and currently holds the title of Executive Creative Director.
Marie Claire worked on a wide portfolio of around international and regional clients
such as ADCB, Daman Insurance, Etisalat, Hayatna UAE, Department of Economy &
Tourism UAE, Abu Dhabi Sports Council, Pepsi, Mars, Samsung, Nakheel, AnNahar Newspaper, Van Cleef, Sadia, Essity and Nakheel.
Marie Claire Maalouf work has contributed to the ranking of IMPACT BBDO as No 1
agency for MENA on the CANNES LIONS Creativity Report Ratings 2022, (with the
winning 8 Lions, including a Grand Prix. Her wins also helped raise the UAE position
globally to the top 10 countries in creativity.
Marie Claire is ranked N3 Most Awarded Executive Creative Director of the World, N1 in the region by The Drum World Creative Rankings and is ranked in the top 3 most
outstanding women in Advertising and Media in MENA for 2022 and was voted "Next
Creative Leader" by the 3% Conference and The One Club for Creativity in Chicago in
2019".
She contributed substantially in bringing home to the MENA region the most coveted
awards of the industry. In 2022, she helped win more than 85 awards, amongst which
the only D&AD Yellow Pencil won by MENA for this year, one of the two Cannes Lions
Grand Prix won by the MENA region as well as the only 2 Grand Lias for MENA this year.
Marie-Claire was a Juror in multiple award shows including Cannes Lions, Clios, The
Drum, New York Festival, Global Awards, D&AD, The One Show, LisbonAdFestival, TikTok and Mena Cristals.
